When you think of what we do here at MidAmerican Aerospace (MAA), you’ll likely think of our team’s incredible dedication to keeping global airline fleets safe and operational by providing high-quality, certified aviation components when they are needed the most. As our business has grown over the years, so has our realization of the importance of creating meaningful impact through community awareness and engagement. To honor our tradition and legacy of supporting causes that impact the people we care deeply about, we are excited to announce the next date of our annual independent fundraising event, MAA Golf 4 Charities.
MAA's Philanthropic Legacy: Past and Present
Over the past 20 years, MAA has leaned into regional networking events to focus on supporting social change by bringing attention to the needs of our neighbors and the struggles they face. What started early on as casual, informal events with our industry partners has now blossomed into a developed mission that we take pride in. Our participation in events like the United We Care Fund gives us an outlet to give back.
Our history is marked by many defining moments outside of corporate boardrooms. By joining our aviation peers across various regional venues to give our support to good causes, we’ve made a considerable effort to do more than help fix airplanes. We’ve had many milestones, from early events at the Amana Colonies Golf Course to our landmark 20th Anniversary outing at Ellis Golf Course in 2024. Today, our focus remains on using collaboration with our partners to provide tangible local development. When we organize golf events, the proceeds are directed to critical non-profit foundations and organizations.
Driving Awareness to Vital Causes
The 2026 MAA Golf 4 Charities tournament will support two incredible charities that place their focus on extremely worthy causes. We are happy to announce that this tournament’s proceeds will go toward improving the lives of those navigating potentially complex medical conditions and living with developmental disabilities.
- Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF): A global leader driving Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research. Funding directly supports scientific advancements toward a cure, while simultaneously improving the life-saving management tools and therapies relied upon by over 1.5 million Americans navigating this chronic condition daily.
- The Arc of East Central Iowa: We’re bringing it closer to home with this one. The Arc is a bedrock local institution empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities here in Iowa. The funds we raise together provide critical lifelong support services, educational programs, and community inclusion frameworks, ensuring individuals can learn, work, and live with full equity and dignity.
The Venue: Blue Top Ridge at Riverside
To ensure our partners, sponsors, and players have a memorable athletic and networking environment, this year’s tournament will be hosted at the renowned Blue Top Ridge Golf Course, situated within the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa. This course is recognized for its exceptional championship layout and stretches across cascading hills, rivers, and lakes. It offers a compelling challenge for golfers of any skill level, and is an experience to remember!
The tournament spans a two-day schedule designed to maximize both networking opportunities and fundraising outcomes:
Thursday (Sep 24th, 6:00 PM):
Welcome dinner & reception, pairing a private networking dinner with a charity raffle drawing in the resort’s courtyard.- 7:30 PM: Charity Raffle Drawing.
Friday (Sep 25th, 8:30 AM):
Warm-Up facility access opens up at Blue Top Ridge.- 10:00 AM: Official Tournament Shotgun Start (18 holes, 4 golfers per group layout).
- 5:00 PM: Awards Reception back at the Riverside Pool & Courtyard to announce our winners and celebrate our collective fundraising impact.
Registration & Booking Information
Registration is now officially open for individuals and full four-person teams. Due to the popularity of the scramble format and field limits at Blue Top Ridge, slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Individual registrations are welcome and will be paired with other participating players, offering a fantastic opportunity to build new connections across the aerospace, logistics, and regional business sectors.
Single Player Registration ($1,300.00): Includes full tournament entry on Friday and automatic admission to the Thursday evening welcome reception and dinner.
Guest Reception Dinner Ticket ($60.00): Perfect for non-sponsors or guests who wish to attend the Thursday night dinner and raffle drawing only. (Note: All corporate sponsorship tiers already include reception access).
Club Rentals ($70.00): If you are traveling from out of town and require clubs, you must reserve them during registration. The course has a strict limit of 25 total rental sets (including only 5 designated women’s sets and 5 left-handed sets), available strictly on a first-claimed basis.

- Accommodations: For out-of-town partners flying into the Eastern Iowa Airport (CID), a dedicated block of rooms is available at the Riverside Resort. Mention the MAA Golf Outing when booking, and use our group booking code: 12995G.

- Transportation: Our venue, The Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, is located approximately 20 miles from the next nearest hotel. Due to the expected turnout, it may be difficult to schedule an Uber or Lyft ride to and from this destination. We highly recommend renting a car for the duration of this trip. Other forms of transportation may be arranged beforehand, such as the Eastern Iowa Airport shuttle service.
